Hospital Indemnity Plans
A Hospital Indemnity plan pays a benefit when a person is an inpatient in a hospital. Generally this coverage is seen as supplemental coverage and pays out a determined amount per day while the person is in the hospital.
A Hospital Indemnity plan provides a daily benefit for each day the person is hospitalized. This daily amount is paid to you and the benefit is triggered simply by confinement as an inpatient.
Major medical deductibles and co-pays are often more than an employee expects. This is where a Sickness Indemnity plan could help.
Sickness Indemnity Plans
A person usually can manage routine health care costs, but when an illness results in hospitalization or surgery they can quickly find themselves paying deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and other expenses. A sickness indemnity plan provides a benefit to help an employee pay for these expenses when they become sick.
